Formerly known as the Kurri Food Cooperative, we’ve been offering low cost fresh and packaged food to local families living on a tight budget since September 2006.
The Food Shack provides members in the community with the opportunity to obtain affordable household products and groceries they may not otherwise be able to buy. The Food Shack has over 3,500 members who have access to a variety of subsidised products including packaged and tinned items, and limited free fruit, vegetables, bread and milk items. Members can access the service on a weekly basis.
The Food Shack is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00am-1:30pm.
